Christophe Come

London, England

April - May 2004

Christophe Come began work by assisting the sculpture Louis Derbre. While working with Derbre he studied the techniques of bronze casting, sculpting and patinating in Arceuil.

In 1994 Come started working on his own, making and designing furniture, lamps and bronze jewellery that culminated in him and a fellow sculptor creating two hundred bronze sculptures.

In 1995 for the first time he started working with glass, creating blocks and lenses in a wide range of volume and colours.

His work beautifully plays with fragile metal structures and heavy cast glass to create pieces of glittering originality and striking beauty.
