Chinese Nail Chair
This is an edition of 8 chairs, with an interesting provenance. As part of our 'Roughed Up' collection, these chairs were salvaged from a client's house.
The base of the chair is a classic copy of a Ming chair that we have repurposed to give a new life and striking aesthetic, by adding a simple idea onto the existing design, a bed of nails for the seat. This concept of making a small addition or change can adapt a design or space to give it a new life or purpose.
