The Rabih Hage Gallery presented a forum to consider the modern phenomenon of the DesignArt movement.

That design is made, manufactured, sold and exhibited just like art has become a subject of much debate. it would seem that more and more the design world is turning to one-off pieces and limited editions that are audacious, expressive and experimental in nature. These pieces are no longer considered simply objects of utility and are transgressing the traditional boundaries between art and design.

Questions surrounding celebrity, significance, high prices, manufacture and integrity will be discussed and debated by Jurgen Bey, David Carlson, Judd Tully, Alexander Payne and Richard Woods. The event will be chaired by design critic and curator Max Fraser.
